Sugar High? Dietary Carbohydrate Ingestion and the Mood Study--2023 Science 10 Honor Project
The study aims to find the association between carbohydrate ingestion and the fluctuation of mood as for teenagers, low carbon diet becomes a popular lifestyle. The results indicate that the data collected from 14 participants' self-reports in this study did not provide evidence for a direct relationship between carbohydrate ingestion and mood states or mood fluctuation. However, from a statistical point of view, we only analyzed the correlation of diet to POMS-A mood status questionnaire total score. It is important to consider the limitations of relying on self-reported data, as subjective reports may be influenced by various factors such as recall bias or individual interpretation. These results suggest that factors other than carbohydrates, such as psychological and physiological variables, may have a more significant influence on mood states.

Pipe Organ Played by Clean Energy - AC Exhaust, School Science Project
The wind system consists of the parts that produce, store, and deliver wind to the pipes. Pipe organ wind pressures are on the order of 0.10 psi (0.69 kPa).
How ever, wind cannot be used directly from an electric blower; its volume and pressure must be regulated in some way.
Wind from the blower is directed first into a reservoir, an enclosed space that not only acts as a storage space for wind from the blower, but also acts to control the pressure of the wind as it leaves. The idea is to Collect the exhaust from on-site air conditioner to supply the wind requirement of a pipe organ playing. -
Immigrants Meet Ontario - Shad Design Project
We wish to foster an environment where immigrants can live safely and comfortably while having access to opportunities that will help them thrive in this new community.
IMO (immigrants meet Ontario) caters to the needs of newly arriving immigrants in Ontario through providing them with safe living spaces, community spaces, and easily accessible services.
Newly arriving immigrant families in Ontario struggle with finding living spaces and forming valuable community connections. These people in need deserve the rights to housing stability and sustainable lifestyles as they’re also struggling human beings.
Moreover, immigrants are the backbone of Canada’s economy and they enhance Canada’s highly diverse community through introducing their own cultures. Hence, creating a sustainable, affordable and minimalistic apartment complex customized for these immigrants is key to supporting them. Alongside a living space, immigrants are provided with specialized services to aid in forming community connections.
Stress is a major obstacle during immigration and by using this solution, immigrants will be able to lighten the load of finding and affording a safe home, creating community connections and identifying the next step.
